We have released uTweetMe 1.2 (version 1.2.10).

New in this version:

• When long tweet posted (more than 140 characters), the preview shows tweet length and the warning that message will be posted to TwiGu.ru service and that this message might be readable to public.
• Slight UI changes, e.g. Inbox (10) instead of Inbox(10) – extra space added.
• Template text and tweet text has now 4000 characters limitation. Hopefully it will be enough for everyone. However not all models support text boxes of such length so it migh be shorter in your cell phone.
• Some other bugs fixed.

uTweetMe 1.2 Beta has been released.

New in this version: tweets longer than 140 characters are now supported via TwiGu.ru service. Now you can type a long message with uTweetMe 1.2 and its first 140 characters will appear on Twitter among with the link to the full message on TwiGu.ru.

Please note that since it’s a Beta version, some bugs are expected. Please use on your own risk.

Hi,

Several days ago our website (http://utweetme.navetke.ru) was infected by the virus. We fixed this problem, but some antivirus systems (including Google Chrome browser) might report this site as infected. As soon as they update their databases (which should happen within a week or two) this problem will disappear.

No uTweetMe users should be affected by this virus unless you visited http://utweetme.navetke.ru using Internet Explorer without recent security updates within last week.

Problem with tweets downloading has been fixed in 1.1.91.

In the previous versions the tweets created after last Friday (June 12 2009) didn’t show up in any folder.

Technical details: problem was caused by that fact that tweet ID became greater than 32-bit value that fits signed int. As far as we know some other Twitter clients got affected too.

uTweetMe 1.1.81 has been released on June 12, 2009.

New in this version:

• Added ability to delete a tweet. To delete a tweet please open it and select “Delete tweet” command. Obviously you can delete only your own tweets.

If you can’t download timelines, please try this custom build 1.1.82. Number of tweets received at once is limited by 5. You can see older tweet by clicking “[more]“.

This is temporary solution, full fix will be released as soon as we completely investigate the problem.
