About
uTweetMe is a free Twitter* client for Java-enabled cell phones.
The main application features:
- Uses data connection for lower cost instead of SMS;
- Connects directly to Twitter.com, doesn’t pass your password to any 3rd party servers.
- Is quick: you can post update in 2 clicks;
- Is quick as possible: you don’t need to wait for any data being loaded from internet when app is started, you can just start posting your update in a second;
- Unfinished updates can be kept in Drafts folder;
- Has ability to communicate with twitter.com server in background - you don’t need to stay in application and wait until update is posted (not all cell phone models support this feature).
- Message templates.
- Ability to read friends timeline, replies and direct messages.
- Search folders.
- Replies, direct messages, retwitting.
- Opening URLs from tweets in the phone web browser.

i’m being testing your app on Motorola L6 in chile (south america) and work very well.

Well, it’s one of the first Twitter application, which can be used for almost every phone! It work fine on my Nokia 5300 XM, very fast and cheap!

К сожалению, не могу воспользоваться вашей хорошей (судя по видео) программой. У меня та же ситуация, что и у Mariano (May 21st, 2009 at 1:04 am) - через пару секунд после запуска программа “вылетает” - выходит без предупреждения. Версия uTweetMe 1.1.81. Телефон SonyEricsson K550i.

When I download uTweetMe on my Sony Ericsson W580i it installs the application but a second or two after starting the application it exits the applications.

i did install utweetme on my nokia 6500c (classic) and I can post on twitter (no problem) but the inbox and other boxes are not working … I can not download anything from there … I have posted a lot of messages on my twitter but when I “recieve” on my + friends folder it is still empty!
aha, I see you have a fix in the new version … I ll try to download the beta … !

I suspect it works with persian, however I never tried. It’s working with Unicode characters and if the cell phone supports persian, I think you can give it a try.

I just added this application to my Motorola Clutch (i465) phone (Boost Mobile) and it’s the only Java app I could find that works well with this phone. It’s never failed me, good job on it. It’s my main phone app now.

I’ve already downloaded to my phone Sony Ericsson K800 last night, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. When i started the application, only about 2 seconds, the application automatically turn off.

Is there no way to download this app via mobile? I tried and the page isn’t loading properly.
I’m unable to send the application from my computer to my phone via bluetooth.
What a great app! I love it. Best java twitter app there is. I like how it organizes things into folders. Very simple to tweet and easy to retrieve the your friends’ tweets. It’s great especially since I’m with virgin mobile and they charge text tweets as PREMIUM texts so even though I have an unlimited text plan, tweets don’t count in that unlimited text category.
